2010 Voting Rules and Guidelines
The Bondage Awards is always evolving and striving to improve. Above all we listen to your ideas on how we can improve to make this year better than ever. The past two years have taught us a lot and we realize there were several areas that needed to be balanced in order to keep in the true spirit of these awards.
General Rules
Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated. We define cheating a person casting more than one vote in a single day. Suspicion of cheating may result in blocking one or more IP address. Blocked users will receive a message to contact us to resolve the situation.
Category Rules
The following rules apply to all categories representing in the Bondage Awards. To qualify to any category, the contestant must meet the following criteria:
- All persons must have created new works in the past two years.
- All persons must be at least 18 years of age.
- All companies and websites must have been active for six months during the previous year and currently active.
The following rules apply to specific categories in the Bondage Awards. In addition to the rules above, the following rules apply to noted categories:
- Best Model - All models must have done for hire work in the past two years.
- Best Free Site - Websites must not have any payment gateways or monetary based member's area.
- Best Pay Site - Websites must be subscription based.
- Best Writer - Writers must be authors of at least three published stories or novels. Published works must be available to read on a website or for sale.
- Best Product - Products must have been available for sale during the previous year.
- Best Retailer - Retail stores must have an online checkout. EBay, Phone, Mail Order or similar ordering systems do not qualify. The store must sell at least 50% non-novelty bondage/fetish equipment, toys, clothing or accessories. Finally, the store must offer at least 20 SKUs.
- Best Photographer - Bondage photography must encompass at least 20% of the photographer's overall portfolio.
- Best Company - Companies must manufacture bondage related products or operate two or more for profit websites.
